National Association of Primary Care
NAPC – “The Home of Primary Care"
Welcome
What is different about the National Association of Primary Care (NAPC)?
NAPC is a non-politically affiliated membership organisation for those working in or with primary care, including general practitioners, nurses, practice staff pharmacist, opticians and dentists.
Members are also drawn from the not for profit and commercial sectors, where they have an interest in working with and advancing primary care.
NAPC seeks to unlock the full potential of primary care. Its role is to support practices, in partnership with nurses, pharmacists, opticians and dentists, to improve the quality of their services and patient experience through increased productivity and reduced unwarranted variation in clinical practice, evidenced based outcomes, greater emphasis on prevention and health, with more care delivered closer to home.

KPMG Healthcare
The NHS is facing a challenging future. After a decade of investment, the global economic downturn has created financial pressures that will be felt for years. The NHS will need to deliver cost savings of between £15bn and £20bn between 2011 and 2014, whilst still delivering sustained improvements in quality and in health outcomes.
KPMG is committed to supporting the NHS as it rises to the challenge of reducing costs while maintaining and improving services. In recent years we have worked closely with the DH, the SHAs, hospital and mental health trusts, commissioners and community service providers, to help them achieve their objectives and meet the needs of patients and citizens. We know how to help our clients reduce costs while maintaining and improving services.
Most recently we have formed a partnership with a number of complementary organisations, such as NAPC, to provide commissioning support to GP pathfinders and consortia. We have expertise in helping consortia move towards a successful authorisation of shadow budgets in 2012 and full accountable body in 2013.

We are currently working with Commissioners in The North West, East Midlands, South Central and the East of England to develop InterQual®, and other tools to support NHS commissioning.
In addition to our successful Patient Administration Systems, Child Health, Management and evidence-based clinical decision support systems, we have implemented the only successful national IT solution for healthcare to be deployed on time and on budget across England and Wales, the NHS Electronic Staff record. This McKesson solution pays more than 1.4 million NHS employees.
Our high levels of customer satisfaction has led to customer retention, with 21 NHS Trusts choosing to remain with McKesson for our trusted, reliable and proven CarePlus Child Health system as their strategic child health informatics solution.
McKesson has become quietly successful and we like it that way, as it's our customers we want to put in the limelight - if they make a difference, then so do we! Yes, McKesson UK has significant parentage in the US but this provides us simply with an infrastructure and stability in which to flourish. McKesson UK staff are a grounded team and our customers often attribute how our willingness to go the extra mile for them is the secret to our success!
