What We Do

Influencing Policy: A key feature of the NAPC’s work is the role it plays in influencing the development of policy in its relationships with Ministers and Officials. Our meetings with government and civil servants enable us to channel information from our membership where difficulties are encountered; or where there are developments which have wider membership interest

NHS Development: The NAPC supports the ongoing development of a modernised NHS, which is;

  • Efficient and effective in the use of its resources
  • Sensitive to the needs of individuals in local communities
  • Equitable for users and employees in the timely delivery of quality services

Supporting Members: We do this by being at the forefront in offering support and guidance to members through a wide range of services, events and activities including;

A dedicated telephone line, website and email service
Events, including training days, workshops, master classes and conferences, all are offered to members at discounted rates. Latest details can be found under events on this website.
Rapid news updates; we deliver daily and weekly news briefings, newsletters and bi-annual reviews free of charge to our members
Periodic publications on important clinical and management issues.
Innovative best practice; disseminated to our members through surveys and other information gathering methods
