NAPC Annual Conference 2009
17-18 November 2009
Hilton Birmingham Metropole, Birmingham
National Association of Primary Care joins forces with Pulse and Practical Commissioning to launch the NAPC Annual Conference 2009 on 17-18 November in Birmingham.
Against a back-drop of ever-increasing change, this year's conference ‘meeting the challenges, maximising the opportunities' will provide essential practical guidance to help primary care professionals achieve business, commissioning and clinical transformation goals.
The event will offer a highly interactive and engaging programme - featuring 27 sessions over 2 days, and over 40 industry-leading speakers.
David Nicholson, Chief Executive of the NHS will present big-policy sessions, to explain what the next 12-18 months holds in store for primary care. Plenary debates will delve into the details of PBC and integrated care and focus on the future of the traditional GP model. Three conference tracks will help delegates on their more specific challenges.
Track A: Your practice, your business will provide financial and business guidance on the latest critical challenges around revenue streams, legislative change and workforce planning.
Track B: Commissioning success will offer top tips on getting the data needed for commissioning, cracking the PCT/GP relationship and guidance on how to get PBC on track.
Track C: Transforming clinical care will showcase a number of innovative redesign case studies, examine how to measure clinical outcomes and explore the latest developments with advanced workforce roles through PBC.
The conference exhibition will feature more than 40 stands offering the latest information from a number of key healthcare associations, solutions providers and pharmaceutical partners.
And last but not least, this year welcomes the launch of NAPC Vision Awards focused on commissioning success. Awards categories are: Best service redesign - respiratory; Best service redesign - cardiovascular disease; Best service redesign - dermatology; Best service redesign - musculoskeletal conditions; Best integrated care model; Best care closer to home model; Avoiding hospital admissions; Most advanced PBC group.
