To improve patient care, this project aimed to develop a non-qualified post within the  Respiratory Physiotherapy Service which would improve skill mix, decrease the waiting list  and release qualified staff time for service development. It also aimed to enhance  communication and partnership working across Southern Derbyshire

Learning Outcomes
Development of this new post has resulted in:

• joint treatments of selected patients with Tech 111, maximising effectiveness of care and  reducing hospital admissions
• the development of a supported community exercise programme, run by the Tech 111
• service development through provision of training packages for staff and service users,  updating of patient information and more efficient delivery of our service.
