The Southern Derbyshire Diversity Group is a best practice network which drives forward development of equality and diversity across the health community. It aims to share information and good practice in a way that promotes learning across the city and avoids duplicating resources.

The group has organised several initiatives including a:

• Race Equality Scheme
• conference called Turning Intention into Action
• Multi-faith Calendar
• cultural equalities training session
• framework for Equality Impact Assessments.

Learning Outcomes
The work of this group has encouraged organisations to adopt good practice at a strategic level and share this within and across their organisation. The Cultural Equalities training programme is a monthly programme open to all agencies
