Angels – a young women’s group and Spacemen – a young men’s group, both provide advice and support about sexual health. The aim is to reduce teenage conception rates by providing:

• a safe environment to talk about sexual health issues
• emergency contraception
• pregnancy testing
• contraception services and advice
• safe sex advice.

We encourage young people to take responsibility for their sexual health through increasing their self esteem and assertiveness skills.

Learning Outcomes
There are currently five different agencies involved in delivering the Angels and Spacemen programmes. This shows partnership working and we have all benefited from sharing knowledge and skills. The role of the School Nurse has also developed as a result of this programme.
