NHS Clinical Leaders Network The NHS Clinical Leaders Network (CLN) is a national, professional leadership network for clinicians in England. It is a clinical leadership and engagement network, bringing together a broad range of local clinical champions to initiative positive, transformational change across the NHS. The network is aimed at all healthcare professionals and those taking part do not necessarily have to occupy management roles.
It has three core principles:
Support clinical leadership engagement
Improve NHS clinical service delivery
Enable clinicians to influence policy by giving them direct access to local and national policy leads
The CLN is a structured programme of service improvement based on monthly Action Learning, where members are given the opportunity to actively debate concerns, undertake problem solving and plan practical action that will improve the quality of their care services. Up to 120 clinicians within each Strategic Health Authority (SHA) are involved in Action Learning Set development at any one time. The CLN also consists of a much broader body of clinicians on an ‘associate’ basis. Associates have access to the network's resources, and amy be invited to join the Action Learning events. To find out further information, or to get involved, please contact cln@nhs.net
