Staff Crisis Shuts A&E Serving A Million
One of Britain's largest hospitals, Queen Mary's Sidcup NHS Trust, has bee forced to shut its emergency department and maternity unit for the winter over fears that lives will be put at risk due to staff shortages.

Surgeon Was Caricature Of Arrogance
James Johnson, a leading surgeon and a former chairman of the British Medical Association left a surgical clip inside a patient, shouted at junior staff and acted like a ‘caricature of surgical arrogance', a disciplinary hearing was told.

On The Public Payroll
A Freedom of Information survey has found that over 9,000 public servants are paid more than the Prime Minister. These included two GPs earning £475,000 each and at least ten family doctors on more than double the £142,500 that David Cameron earns.

4,000 GPs Paid More Than Prime Minister
More than 4,000 family doctors earned more than the Prime Minister last year, figures showed yesterday. It also emerged that 250 family doctors were paid more than £250,000 in 2008/9 for private and NHS work.
